The Morning Watch

Lagu's text-message monitoring system proved handy this morning at 4 AM.  I received a text message that our anchor distance had increased to a new maximum of 163 feet and that the wind had picked up to 22 knots.  I put on my warmest clothing and headed up to the flybridge to evaluate the situation.

Playing with the Freighters

It was pouring rain, cold, foggy, not very windy... naturally, we wanted to go sailing! We snuck away from the dock and went for a little motor through the freighters and barges.  "Which one is the biggest?" Dane and I used AIS to identify the size of each boat in the bay including DONG A, boasting a beastly 1,000 ft.
